Install the KPIBees Gsuite Marketplace Sheets Add-on.
STEP 2
Accept the authorization of the KPIBees Add-on. This is a standard procedure for installing Google Sheet Add-ons.
STEP 3
Open any spreadsheet and go to the Add-ons toolbar.
STEP 4
Click on the SQL Server integration.
STEP 5
Add your database connection credentials. It’s best to use a read-only user for safety precautions. When you are done, check whether the connection is successful with the “Test connection” button. Also, your database server needs to accept connections from our server IP (94.130.18.249).
A localhost database won’t work – as you need to expose your database on the internet. Even though this might be possible, it’s a lot easier to move your a database copy with a hosting provider.
STEP 6
After you’ve added the database connection, name your query and write the SQL query that you want brought to the sheet, then click create query. The data will be pulled in your selected spreadsheet cell.
